Win 10 pro Ver 1511 OS Build 10586.545

I have a friends computer that required a USB update, I got that problem sorted out
But I noticed using winver that it shows Win 10 pro Ver 1511 OS Build 10586.545.

On My computer using winver my version is 1607 (OS Build 14393.105)

When I try to update my friends computer it reports that it is up to date, what is the solution

Hello, MS is phasing the release, so it's possible it's not been offered there yet.
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...update-history

You could check against that if your friend indeed has all the updates for 1511.

Now, you may know the anniversary build is widely reported as causing some people significant issues. So before upgrading, take additional precautions -use disk imaging- create a full disk image e.g. with Macrium Reflect (Free) + its boot medium + external storage for the images.

If sthg goes wrong from the PC being unbootable to data loss, you can recover without tears or technical help.

How do you get 1607 to manually install it?
    a. search the web and you'll find out how to manually download iso's and create bootable Win 10 1607 media.
    Or
    b. Go here: (Tutorial section - have a look- lots of good things)
Windows 10 ISO Download - Windows 10 Forums

    and this will help you.

Having a Win 10 bootable medium is advisable as it gives you some recovery options should your PC become unbootable.

same issue here on Older Hardware ---- a Netbook and a Desktop with a X58 MB , both non-UEFI MB's , not sure if that is the issue ? other two are on AU

There is one large update after this one though which I think is .550 I have seen a few mention ,

worth trying that 1st , do you think.?

It is a 881mb download which says it fixes issues with printers caused by .545 ? that's some update to fix Printers only :)

One possibility is that there is no enough Disk Space for the Update. I believe that you need at least 20GB free. In the case you can not free that much, you must download the Update FIle to other PC , put it on a DVD and update from it.

Other possibility is that the PC does not meet the requirements.
