How to stop Windows Update hardware driver update

    Hi,
I see that in the Anniversary I can't no more AVOID the automatic search and download of drivers.

I want to STOP this, I want myself to choice my driver and update them.

I read that in "gpedit.msc" > "Windows Update" > "Do not include drivers with WU" > ENABLE

And I did, BUT, Windows Update still see drivers to update such Intel HD, Touchpad, etc.

    Why?

Go to Computer configuration=>Administrative Templates=>System=>Device installation=>Device Installation Restrictions=>Prevent installation of devices not described by other policy settings and enable it. This policy setting allows you to prevent the installation of devices that are not specifically described by any other policy setting. You can also delete or comment out HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UpdateHandlers\Driver. Another way is to use "Prevent installation of devices that match any of these device IDs". You can get the ID by going to Device Manager open the device properties go to the Details tab, click the little arrow under Property choose Hardware ID then copy and paste it to your GP policy. Another way is to choose "Prevent Installations of Device Using Drivers that Match These Device Setup Classes" and again use Device manager as above but choose Class GUID instead of Device ID then copy it and insert in the policy. Kind of convoluted way to stop the driver updates but it does work. Be aware this will stop driver installations even of USB sticks you haven't used before so you'll need to disable the policy if you do want to install new drivers for anything. Hope this helps

I am a little confusing... I want Win to STOP to update by Windows Update my drivers but I also want it to download them from internet If I connect a device such as a PEN DRIVE, HDD or even a JOYPAD (and want it to download the app).

    Could you still help me?

You need to experiment with these settings in GPO and if you just wish to block graphic cards drivers or sound drivers then use their device ID or class GUID to block these specific ones just be aware some of the numbers will be the same for different devices so you might also block something you don't want to block but you should be OK with the rest. I insert most of the drivers I need to the Win 10 ISO prior to installing and use a piece of software called Update MiniTool which allows me to control updates and hide what I don't want including drivers and stopping Windows from downloading updates unless I allow it. Once I have the drivers I need I use the GPO settings and reg settings to block all drivers till I need new ones so you need to be a bit interactive to control Win 10 at least to a larger extent than previously
