    RAM Upgrade & Windows 10

I recently ordered new RAM for my Toshiba Satellite Notebook because it only came with 2GB of RAM.

It is upgradable to 8GB of RAM.

    I ordered the Amazon.com: Kingston Technology 8GB 1600MHz DDR3L (PC3-12800) 1.35V Non-ECC CL11 SODIMM Intel Laptop Memory KVR16LS11/8: Computers Accessories.

Can anyone tell me if it will affect my activation of Windows 10? Will I have to re-enter my Product Key?

    Thanks!

Also, will there be a performance increase with the 8GB RAM over the 2GB RAM?

It will not affect Windows 10 activation.

There will be a performance increase, especially if you are still using a spinner hard disk and not an SSD.

Do you have 64-bit Windows installed? If you have 32-bit Windows installed, you won't see anything over slightly less than 4GB of the RAM.

I forgot to bring this up. Will the RAM that I mentioned above work on my PC?
