@simrick, according to his system specs, he is running Xeon's and I don't believe they have on board graphics.

Well crap. Thanks for pointing that out.

I see we have a new BETA driver for the Quadro K5200 released March 11th.

@simrick Rob still needs to RUN REVO after he gets to his Desktop to finish removing the rest of the files axe0 wanted removed.
This is what Rob said he had problems removing from running Revo in Safe Mode.
"Uninstalled Daemon Tools and some of the ASUS software. Could not remove ASUS Update in Safe Mode." I am thinking because Rob was in Safe Mode, it couldn't remove those files. Once Rob is on his desktop Revo should not have any problems removing those files. And letting Revo remove any traces in the registry also.
Then Rob should try updating his USB drivers again, from the Desktop.

Good luck with this problem, I am hoping Rob gets his computer booting up fast again!!! Mike. :)
Yes, I think you're right. But, doesn't something have to be "installed", in order for him to be able to select it to "uninstall"? Just wondering if it's going to be a problem now.
And yes, the USB driver update needs to be installed from the normal desktop OS (not safe mode), or using C prompt, if necessary.
    Thanks! :)

Not with Revo Pro as it as the option of... "Forced Uninstall of the remnants of already uninstalled programs" option. Rob knows this I believe.

Oh okay - that's good to know, and a good feature! I've only ever used the free version, and then, only once or twice.

Looking at this a bit more:

What is Intel Collaborative Processor Performance Control? (from Intel)
A new technology based on the ACPI 5.0 specification that dynamically modulates performance vs. active application power. It reduces active power to deliver better battery life and allows deeper lower power states to be reached (compared to prior generations of Intel Core processor products).

    Intel Driver Update Utility
    Intel® Driver Update Utility

Curious if @essenbe and @axe0 think this might help at all? Guess we should wait until we have the boot log though...

Ok, I'm in. I have the logon screen and I'll perform the tasks above and report back as soon as I'm done.

Running the Driver Update Utility wouldn't hurt, if we know what it wants to update. Assuming the Utility can read his chipset. It can't read mine.

Okay Rob. Please run through my recap, to make sure we've got everything covered while you're in the normal OS. Thanks.

So he should run it, and let us know what it says it wants to update, but not update anything until you've had a chance to evaluate?
