What do you have attached to the computer? I keep seeing a PNP device error in a couple of places and a Windows Update Failure.

First, here is what 'sfc' reports. I"ll attach the log it references. Oh wait, is that the one where I have to force it to write a file to the desktop? I'll skip attaching for now until you ask for it.
    ----------------------
Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection found integrity violations. Details are included
in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not supported in
    offline servicing scenarios.
    ------------------------

    Attached:

    A couple of USB hubs.
One persistent USB external drive for backups.
A Space Pilot which is a 3d mouse sort of device that allows me to rotate in a 3d scene.
    Wireless keyboard
    Wired mouse
A Wacom Cintiq 13HD tablet (it's also a monitor but uses a USB port)

    I think that's it.

    EDIT:

    Also, a Dell laser printer

CHKDSK finished with no errors. I ran it in 'read-only' mode as I was working on something. i hope that a "no error" report is still valid from 'read-only.' If not I can finish what I'm doing and run it again using '/F'.

Windows has scanned the file system and found no problems.
    No further action is required.

Most of the time running chkdsk SHOULD reboot computer and THEN it runs .... not sure just how reliable your method was.
chkdsk c: /f should have been tried. But, simrick is checking on your errors.

He ran it in read-only mode - it won't reboot because it's not fixing anything. It's fine.

No, I went ahead and had it run properly at boot using '/F'. It found no errors.

Do you have a wired keyboard and mouse? If so attach them, remove all items wireless and everything else, such as the Wacom Tablet and Hard drive, USB hubs and the Space Pilot. In other words everything except the wired keyboard and mouse. Then Reboot. Be sure to remove the wireless dongle too.

How old is that ISO?; have we gone through windows updates since it was downloaded? If so, we need a current ISO.
