    Update delivers Lenovo Optical Mouse

I do not have a Lenovo -machine or mouse. It is a Logitech usb mouse M325
I knew I did not have anything Lenovo but there it was waiting to be installed.

The choice to upgrade drivers is turned on
Meanwhile my mouse went into poor response while in Adobe Lightroom which prompted me to investigate the logs.
Although it downloaded and installed the CBS.log indicates it didn't install. Searching results in no Lenovo. The name just remains in the list of updates installed.
I downloaded the current Logitech setpoint update 6.7 and the mouse returned to normal.
    The questions are
.....Turn off upgrade drivers (and hope it sticks)?
.....how would this update download be refused?
.....If this record is in the list of installed updates will it encourage future inaccurate device info downloads?

That was a 'memory refresher' I couldn't recall where the location was for 'turning of install drivers'
    I have turned it off.
I did turn it off at one point in the past because I wasn't keen on the video drivers updating but I may have turned it back on or a major upgrade set it back.
My habit is to regularly check if any device requires an update and searching out user comment on that update.
On the surface this device ''service" appears to be handy but it has to be dependable as well.

Yes. Check each time after you do an upgrade.
