Ok so today things seem to be working. When I came out of 10 yesterday I shut the OS down instead of suspending it in the VM, today I've opened the VM and started 10, after it finished booting up the first thing I did was click the IE icon on my Taskbar, lo and behold it started up with no error messages.

I came here first to update everyone, we'll see how things go from here but it seems like the old favourite, a reboot cures a lot of glitches. I had started 10 today with the intention of un-installing the IE updates but I may not have to now.

I have the Radeon 6850 and the screen was real dim then this last build 10049 fixed it.
