How to Defer Windows 10 Updates

    Hi Everyone,
I know that you canīt defer updates in Home edition but you can on the others. I found this article and I was wondering if I can stop when I enable defer upgrades or do I have to do absolutely everything in the article. Thanks in advance. :)

Hello RhaenysVise30, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

I'm afraid that it will not work in the Windows 10 Home edition.

However, you could use OPTION FOUR in the tutorial below set your internet connection to be metered to effectively disable automatic updates in the Home edition. This way you can install them when you're ready to.

    Hi,
Great thanks for your answer and thanks for the welcome. I have a buddy that has Pro, can he just stop at enabling upgrades or does he have to go through the entire how to I added the link to? Thanks.

Your buddy with Pro will be able to use the "Defer Upgrades" feature if he likes.

He could also use other options in the other tutorial to disable automatic updates if he likes.
