    Hi, to bring back Windows Update in Control panel follow this steps in registry editor:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX]
    "IsConvergedUpdateStackEnabled"=dword:00000000

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX\Settings]
    "UxOption"=dword:00000000

    Now Windows update is back in Control panel and you can configure which updates to install and which to hide.

    Note: this is a registry hack and Microsoft recommends not doing it. Use it on your own risk.

    Good luck, werty
    These tweaks will break your Build Flight, you won't get your new build at 4:00PM(EST) today!
    Also, by the time you install W10TP and get in there to perform the tweaks, all the updates are already installed anyway.

    Thanks werty, I added your reg edit to tips & tricks
    I built two reg files - toggle WU between Cpl and UX

    Hey @Edwin,

    I still show the Build Flight enabled and seems to be working below for me with Windows Update added to the Control Panel. Where did you get that it broke this for reference?

    I think it was in one of Gabe Aul's tweets, I'll find it!

    Oh, for Pete's sake! My bad AGAIN!
    My blurb pertains to 'Update Experience', (I think), not the aforementioned! Sorry bout that Bill and Shawn and werty!
    Perhaps you should demerit me a few pips.

    I think it might be a reference to WU vs PBU. I looked at Shawn's screen shot and said "What - mine doesn't have the build info"

    Then I realized applying the WU Control Panel reg edit also reverts Settings -> Updates back to two update choices (Windows Update and Preview Build updates)

    Sometimes MS recommends (or not recommended) stuff just because they don't want you to do something that way

    Nah, we don't need no stickin' badges!
    I'd give you extra pips (if I could) because you went out and checked.

    I cleaned up your oops reference that I included in my posts - so it's all good.

    Ok, great news. I thought the same until I realized it had the separate Windows Updates and Preview Builds sections in Settings again like Bill posted above. :)
