    1511V 10586 update with error 0x8024002e

    Hi Roomies,
I just upgrade a friends laptop to win 10 home 64bit and I'm getting this error 0x8024002e and not able to update to the latest version 10586.36 any help will be appreciated. Is there a way I could try to get the latest version and burn it and try to install it from there?
    Thanks.

there seems to be a problem with that update. i had an un-activated windows 10 when i updated it. suddenly i couldn't activate it because it said it was upgraded from an non activated windows version. between that and the fact that the update took as long as a brand new installation of windows i figure the update is majorly bugged and installed over windows instead of patching it.

this really makes me question me updating when i reinstall windows. do you have to update to the latest version of windows? i can't stand the stock version that my computer came with. it's extremely unstable. driver issues, BSOD twice in less than 24 hours, drive playing issues that are probably driver related.

Yes, they are driver related, but if I can burn the latest WIN10 iso and update all that files to 10586.36 that should work. or??

Windows update is quite intuitive regarding drivers - it may download stuff but won't install incompatible drivers - I did get the drivers installed via Minitool but had (fan) issues subsequently ( had to rollback PCI driver)

Long story short - install 1511 and let WU do it's thing - if it fails just let it be. Newer drivers will get installed when available.
