No KB3122947 showing up on my backup desktop PC. It's just not being offered at all. Very similar hardware to my main desktop PC. Non of my PC's are being offered KB3122947. Just a FYI post.

If your issue is its repeatedly failing, just install it manually. Instructions are in this thread.

It's Patch Tuesday..... who knows what MS will put out. Meanwhile, the jist of this update was to fix an issue some people were having regarding the last Cumulative update not retaining some user settings. If you did not experience this issue, you were not offered the update. It may be time to put this to bed. IMO.

I agree, if your not getting offered this update, don't worry about it. It's only an issue if your getting it but it's failing to install.

And very clear instructions have been posted numerous times. Just read and they will find the answer. No need to ask the same question over and over. As far as the confusion of "did it or did it not update", Update History and Installed Updates are two separate areas. Defender updates show in update history, but will never show in installed updates. Same with hardware driver updates, they rarely if ever show in installed updates. The only one that matters is "Installed Updates". If it's not there, it ain't! 'nuff!

I could be wrong, but I think that users who have removed the 10240 build via Disk Cleanup, like me, since day 1, will see that update failing to install, and users who have not wiped out b. 10240 will see that update installed.
Makes sense to me as there is no Windows.old file to update.
In all cases, after installing b. 10586, I have revisited my Settings, made sure that everything was retained and hid that update for ever. I won't bother installing it via DISM as I'm not even sure that the successful installation really changes something, the update could show as installed but not really installed as there is no .old config file to update on both my W 10 systems.
    Just my opinion,

Instructions are a bit more difficult to find when there's 29 pages and a new reply every half an hour. :)
