Just turned on my main Laptop and got KB3122947 as a fast download and installed ok.

According to MS it addresses a fix for the settings changes the last 1511 update did on it's own.

Some settings aren't retained when users upgrade to Windows 10 Version 1511 from an earlier Windows 10 version

    Symptoms

After an upgrade to Windows 10 Version 1511 from an earlier version of Windows 10, a very small number of users may have had their settings for Advertising ID, Background Apps, SmartScreen Filter, and Sync with Devices incorrectly set to the system defaults.

For more information about this issue, see Microsoft Knowledge Base article 3121244.

It is still December 4, 2015 here.

I just tried and it downloaded and installed the update in under a minute.... WU took my 10240 directly to 10586.14. After that, it was the Adobe Flash Player Update (KB3103688) and then KB3103688 took it to 10586.17, I'm still at 10586.17 after KB3122947 installed.

Just installed the update (cab file) manually, everythings fine now using CMD.
    (dism /online /add-package /packagepath:C:\Your\Path\Here\filename.cab)
    cool... very thx.. worked fine..
the cab file is in your C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx\ folder

check in all \Download\ folder and u will find the file windows10.0-kb3122947-x64.cab

CMD-admin mode (see pic... in french but it's the same way in english btw )
in my case.. example: dism /online /add-package /packagepath:C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\c4a1b8896ce9fbfea96c1ee6890d52a5\windows10.0-kb3122947-x64.cab

You are a little genius, I never knew about this way to install Microsoft updates.

Very thx for this solution :)

I'm getting error Error 0x80070643 too, and I have not AMD CPU.

However if you try to search update KB3122947 in MS Update Catalog, there is no result, unlike any other updates.
    It's strange, is not it?
