Auto update failed on my two Dell desktops (8700 and 8300) but succeeded on my Dell Inspiron laptop. The manual download succeeded on both desktops but one required a restart yet the other did not. Rather odd.

Same. I refuse to install manually, ms should make it work right. Forced updates my... lol

What version Flash Player now shows on your IE Manage add-ons page after the manual Windows update, curious to fact as there is a new flash update 19.0.0.185 ?

Thanks Mike, my theory was correct look here, why can not update adobe in IE manually, but only by this windows update is odd in ways. Windows update error help
