W10 home has a defer update that can be check, is that a fluke or...?

    As far as I know, "notify to schedule restart" just delays the reboot after they are installed? It doesn't stop them from being installed in the first place. If you shut down or reboot manually the update is completed. That's why they are being done anyway.

    Thank you for this....I thought it was a way to avoid potential dodgy drivers etc....I guess as a home OP user there is not much we can do. Best wishes.

    It's not just Home, even if you are running Pro, you still need to have access to "Windows update for Business" to have control over what updates get installed.
