Update delivery option keeps turning to default

    Update delivery option keeps turning to default


    I can't turn off update delivery optimization, it keeps reseting to on everytime i restart pc

    this is the option in update & security > windows update > advanced options > choose how updates are delivered

    Double check the registry location for this setting using OPTION TWO below to see if that may help.

    Hi, thx for the reply, registry appears to be correct, but still it resets back to default

    In that case, you might set it to PCs on my local network for now to avoid the internet option. That is if that doesn't get reset as well.

    Do you have your PC's settings sync'd with OneDrive in settings app>Accounts? You could try turning it off and see if Update Delivery Option changes after a couple of boots. If it doesn't, go to OneDrive and delete your PC's sync, then turn it back on(if you wish) in settings.

    yes unfortunately that does reset as well

    onedrive is turned off and i never made account for it

    i found out that this is much bigger problem than just this, for some reason i dont have rights to change a bunch of stuff even though im administrator, i need to disable UAC and only then i can change it, i upgraded to win10 from win7

    Are you signed in to the built-in Administrator account by chance?

    If so, then that could be why since the modern UI will not work well in an elevated account like that one.
