OK we are ready
Run Windows Update and when the KB5034441 gives you trouble you have to exchange the old WinRE.wim!
No other solution possible. And no means no
If I have to exchange/replace the old winre.wim, why not do it now? and how do I do that?
OK. I'll report the result either way.

Kb5034441 broke again, and then error message looks to be the same as before we started this effort; screenshot 28
You have to replace that old winre.wim first. There is definitely no other way.
It can be done within 1 hour but my time is limited. Good luck
I understand. But I have no idea how to go about getting a new winre.wim. In terms of replacing it, simply re-name the old one .old, and copy the latest one to that recovery directory? But they are now hidden and I can't find them where I thought they were. frustration.
It's nearly the midnight hour here so I'm signing off, and will return to this tomorrow afternoon. My thanks and appreciation for your efforts and assistance tonite - I would never have been able to do this alone.
It is explained here
Unable to Delete $WinREAgent Folder
Run
sfc /scannow
first

The Queensway creates 2 mountfolders (1) + (2)
(1) for new WinRE.wim
(2) for old WinRE.wim
Then run 2 Dism /Mount-Image commands and select MountDir (1) +(2)
delete the files in (2) and run xcopy (1) ==> (2)
Dism /Unmount-Image (1) + (2)
