    @JS racer

according screenshot post #58 the system boots from disk 0 partition 2.
That is impossible, as disk 0 is NTFS formatted
    So:
    Diskpart
    sel disk 0
    sel par 2
    det par
    exit

    is important

    Try this command:
    bcdedit /store \\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolume2\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD
    same result as before?

I increased the size to 1gig… but there are other things you need to do.

I searched all over about this issue, and this one article helped me, but I was only able to apply the fix to my desktop. It did not work for my laptop.

Created an account just for this, but you seem like the go-to guy to get help with this problem, so can you please lend some assistance?

    @GeraldOfRevea

    reagentc /disable

    diskpart
    sel disk 0
    sel par 1
    set id=ebd0a0a2-b9e5-4433-87c0-68b6b72699c7
    gpt attributes=0x8000000000000000
    sel par 6
    delete partition override
    sel par 5
    delete partition override
    sel par 4
    extend
    shrink minimum=1025
    create partition primary
    format quick fs=ntfs label="Recovery"
    set id=de94bba4-06d1-4d40-a16a-bfd50179d6ac
    gpt attributes=0x8000000000000001
    exit

    reagentc /enable

    Run Windows Update
    Enjoy

EDIT: To verify a successful update run cmd:

    Dism /Get-ImageInfo /ImageFile:\\?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddisk0\partition5\Recovery\WindowsRE\winre.wim /index:1

    You should get:
    Service Pack-Build: 3920

say disk 0, is my V drive ssd, and 119gb is the storage partition. it is reported as disk 0, partition 2. If I delete that, I blow that partition out.. I could, I have like 30gb of stuff I can copy someplace else. then seems I would be reformatting that drive. (not a huge deal, and nothing critical on that drive)

I have included the results of your last request as well.
