Question - Reset Windows 10 new owner

Hello, I have purchased a new Windows 11 computer & down the road a little bit I want to give my Windows 10 desktop to a family member. If I wipe my Windows 10 clean and use an install ISO copy, can the new owner set it up as is or would they need to purchase a Windows 10 license??

The give away Windows 10 is running the 22H2 and I did download that version. My dilema is that Windows 10 is on that computer with the very original upgrade years ago when it first came out and you could get it free. I have never purchased Windows 10 physically. So basically this would be a freebie if it can be reset with a new user.

    thank you

If you clean install Win 10 it should activate automatically. Your digital activation rights are held on MS's servers against a hash of a form of your machine's hardware id. Certain issues arise where some OEM machines have a license embedded in their firmware.

    use an install ISO copy,
Not exactly- you would create a bootable installation disk using the MS media creation tool.
See the relevant tutorials- click Tutorials above and look those displayed.
