How do I permanently stop windows updates

    It is ironic that "Microsoft Update Health Service" exists while "Microsoft Update Health Tools" is empty.

    Haven't got round to trying it yet as I'm away for Easter weekend but I'm going to try that sledgehammer tool as that sounds like the best choice as it still updates Windows defender.


    I just don't want my laptop updating as it's really old and the update process takes hours and often gives random errors and always happens at the most inappropriate times.
    And it's basically a YouTube machine at this point so I couldn't care less about security patches.
