why windows updates break some apps.?

    why windows updates break some apps.?


    i have tried both in10 and win 11 and on both after updates it breaks some apps.
    is there a way to revert the change .? or how would i do to use windows updates but for drivers only. and not updates thta breaks apps.

    It does the same on my computer, all you can do is reinstall them. if there are data files, the reinstall will find them again.
    The updates also don't like unsigned drivers. i have an old scanner with a SCSI card and every time i get an update it uninstalls the driver. i got used to it and just reinstall the driver

    i mean microsoft apps like snipping tool. solitaire even microsoft store crash. there are some debloat scipts that can stop updates.. like privatezilla..sophia script and chris titus debloater..
    i was testing last night but my HDD is dead.

    sounds like you need to replace that HDD if it has "died" or failed
