Hello, which update attempt was that please?

Please post a screenshot of your Update History.

How much free space do you have on C: ?

    Did you..
    a. manually run Check Updates?
    b. use an iso file to try to upgrade Windows? E.g. to Win 11?
    c. some other method...

Build number- winver as prompted by the forum when you wrote your post please.

Do you have a disk image of your Windows installation created prior to the upgrade attempt?
tenforums members endlessly recommend the routine use of disk imaging so you both have a full backup and can often recover from difficult problems to a previous good state without the pain and delay of seeking technical help.

    E.g. Macrium Reflect (free).

When I ask this question most posters sadly can't be bothered to answer. If no answer I shall have to assume you will need to learn the value of that the painful way.

    Thanks.

Thanks, there's no indication of update failure there.. and the last update was 16/12/21 (December) if I've read the dates correctly- being USA.

Did you somehow attempt to upgrade to Win 11 using a Win 11 iso given your comment in the first post?

    Speed check still says 11mbps
    - and what speed were you used to seeing?

It might be you've one or more new drivers- have a look at the one for your network card in Device Manager and see when that was updated.

And have a look at the drivers updates at the bottom of your Update History. Anything new in the period of interest?

Also check your DNS ping response- and easy way to do that is to use DNSjumper (free) - a neat tool which lets you find the fastest DNS and set it.

    Thank you for your reply.

    Hope it's solved.

Remember to have a look at DNSjumper (free) if you didn't actually use that.
