@FriendlyUser
Glad to hear.
Have a nice weekend.
Take care and stay safe.
Friendly greetings
I can NOT believe this, today I woke up and suddenly my main computer is having this error in Windows Update:
0x80070643
It is apparently something about net framework, I've used an official Windows tool to repair it, but nothing, same error appears. What is wrong with WU lately?
First that laptop, now my main computer...
The problem is with installing the "Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus" update, right?
Open the notepad and then copy and paste this content in the notepad window:
Then save the File as Signature.txt and after that rename the extensions from .txt to .batCode:cd %ProgramFiles%\Windows Defender MpCmdRun.exe -removedefinitions -dynamicsignatures MpCmdRun.exe -SignatureUpdate
When done make a right click on the file and select the option "Run as administrator".
You should see then this Window for example:
Then wait until the window closes on its own.
After that start the Windows Updates search in the Settings again please.

Alternatively, you can download and install the Defender Signature Update from the linked source.

Yes, it occurs while installing something about Defender, that what you said. Thank you for your help, why are you so helpful, and why do you know how to solve every single error users have? I have yet see you fail or say "I don't know"!
Nevertheless, it solved itself. After restarting the PC I kept getting it and that's why I posted it here, because if a restart couldn't solve it I was expecting another black magic cmd coding mission to solve something that I don't know how it got broken.
First the explanation for the error code 0x80070643.
The error code means: ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE - Fatal error during installation.
Even if the error code in connection with Net Framework is mentioned again and again in the WWW, it is a general error code.
And since I also had the error code on my computer today, I assume that Microsoft rolled out a faulty signature update.
A new signature update is downloaded and installed with the help of the batch file and old ones removed beforehand.
And in general I would like to mention again what I wrote yesterday:
Have a nice day.
Friendly greetings
Amazing as always, Tekkie!
Thanks for the kind words again.
Hi @Tekkie Boy !

About error code 0x80070643:
For me, that error code looks more likely to happen for non-CU updates, when there's a CU to install.
Usually for a Windows Defender update, IIRC. More likely to occur when there's a CU install planned.
IOW, it looks like a result of Windows Update cancelling the update because of another update being prioritized over it.
That error code seems to usually be transient for me.
