    hi
do you mean that after 30-45 days i can run disk cleanup and i can find Windows Update Cleanup?

and Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase does not perform the same task of windows update cleanup
    thanks
Yes after the waiting period, it will clean-up old windows updated files..

/resetbase will remove ALL old windows updated files - regardless of when updated = no waiting period

Both methods do the same thing as far as clean-up - Except the waiting period

Also, you can to download "Glary Utilities", and inside the "Clean Disk", you can able the squares selection for "Windows Updates" and "Windows Installer Temporary". Glary Search for all the "copies" witch Windows lets in your hard disk. You can recovery the same space rather the procedures describes early in this thread.

Those are files that Windows Updates downloaded to and perform installation. You can also manually remove them, they are no longer needed once the updates completed.

Instead of using regular disk cleanup: cleanmgr.exe
Open Admin command prompt and run it in extended mode, you will have more options to select, copy and paste the line below:
    %SystemRoot%\System32\Cmd.exe /c Cleanmgr /sageset:35 & Cleanmgr /sagerun:35

Meaning the old file backups are removed after 30-45days and only the Updated files remain..

to perform a disk cleanup Now and bypass the 45days waiting period >

EDIT - Mod inserted Link removed

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase

    Hello Drugo, :)

It needs to be run in an elevated command prompt.
