Got the 20H2 update today. This was fast!

As usual I searched for Windows updates to my computer today which I do every morning. The download AND initial install took under 10 seconds! After reboot the final installation took about 30 seconds.

This is the fastest update to a new version ever!
As present everything is working normally on my old (4 years) trusted MSI laptop. I hope it will stay that way...
If the updates in the future will be as fast as this one, I'm impressed.

On my Mac Mini an update takes about 15-25 minutes and that is a DOS, i.e I cant use the computer when Mac Mini is updating. The DOS time on my Windows box was, as I stated earlier, about 30 seconds.

The specs on my MSI and my Mac Mini are about the same with an Intel i7 with 16 GB of RAM and both have SSD:s.

If you HAD v2004 already, the 20H2 was only like 80MB.

This was only a "Trigger" update. No new code and such. It basically just turned on what was already there, hidden, in 19041.572 and made it 19042.572. That explains the quickness of the update. It didn't have much to do. If you were to Uninstall this update, you'd be right back on v2004, 19041.

OK, that explains the super quick update. But almost all updates are quick to install. I can use the computer when doing the download and initial install. Only after reboot and finishing the update, that may take some time but mostly only some minutes.
Not so in Mac! The updates are always very time consuming and in fact a DOS. I can't do anything with the Mac Mini when updating!

Just a side note. I bought the Mac secondhand just to play with it. Mostly it's stays in the closet. I will use it as a replacement when my Intel NUC gets broken. I use the NUC to get on the net. It's connected to my 40 inch flat screen TV. The TV is a so called "smart" TV from Samsung but I don't trust it because Samsung ended updates after only two years. Also I dislike that I can't uninstall Samsung's "recommended" apps at the start screen. I's so annoying!!! A ordinary computer is much smarter than those "smart" TV:s!

Off topic, but you can "hide" those recommended on the TV, but can't uninstall in the sense of PC uninstall, just remove them from the bottom scroll display.

I can't hide those apps on my TV but it doesn't matter. As I stated earlier I don't use the "smart" function on this TV since I have a small NUC computer connected to it. The "smart" function is disabled since I removed my WiFi dongle on the TV. Only the NUC is connected to my router.

    Anything good in 20H2 that I've missed/dismissed vs 2004/20H1 ?
