    FAILED install: September 8, 2020—KB4571756

I get a page fault error trying to install the KB4571756 (OS Build 19041.508) update either through Windows Update or downloading the msu file directly.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

EDIT: FIX WAS REINSTALLING NEWEST BIOS:

I have the newest BIOS (1.D=1.13) for quite a while now, but when I was looking at it in the BIOS the date was different then the release date of the one on the MSI website. So I downloaded it again and reinstalled it, and now it still shows V1.13 but the date is far closer then as on the website (02/16/2016 in BIOS and 02/17/2016 on the website)!
The weirdest thing is I tried to install the 20H2 update after like before and it worked this time!! So I'm running 20H2 now and it doesn't seem like any issues so far. I have 11.7.0.1057 of the IME driver from trying different things with @Tekkie Boy...

So I don't know why it suddenly worked or why the BIOS versions were the same but different dates, but its working now...

Your post prompted me to check for Updates and it just finished installing, no issues yet.

Can you give us the error code for failed Windows update.

I had no problem installing the update.

    Use Windows Update Troubleshooter.

    • Right-click on Start button and pick Settings
    • Go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot
    • Click on Windows Update and select Run the troubleshooter

Resetting the Windows Update components can usually solve these types of issues.

I did try updating manually with the .msu file. sfc /scannow didn't find anything, and it did rollback to no avail...

Just a comment: Your line with the Version number is incomplete and partially incorrect, there was no 1904 Version, only 1903 and 1909 and it doesn't say if Home, Pro, Enterprise or Education. We are now at Version 2004 Build 19041.508. I don't have a computer with the XEON processor so can't test if it can run the Home version, have seen it [in a business] running the Pro version.
