A lot of people have mentioned this. I found this which was posted yesterday . . .

Windows 10 2004 rollout: We're slowly throttling up availability, says Microsoft

    . . . it might explain why!

    I hope this helps!

As Paul Black has indicated, there's some incompatibility, and MS is protecting you from the problems that would cause. You won't be able to find out exactly what that may be. Could be hardware, might be software.

A basic list of issues is maintained here:
Known and Resolved issues for Windows 10 May 2020 Update version 2004

Assuming you have 1903 or 1909, there's little that would be of particular benefit, so no need to rush in:

Common occurrence for many users, and means exactly what it says.

My system still shows the same message. I will wait until things get ironed out. I wonder if it will get v.2004 before v.20H2 becomes available? 20H2 makes me think of a virus tag, like H1N1.

For consideration: in some cases it could be that appropriate compatible drivers are not yet available which are proven to work with the new Windows build. Indeed it might be that for some hardware no compatible drivers will become available. I.e. as Win 10 matures, some hardware that worked with one Windows build might become permanently compatible with later builds. That could apply for hardware produced before Win 10 was released, and as time goes on, even to hardware released in the early years of Win 10.
