    Hi Karizma

What build are you on 17134.xxx

To get right click Start, click run, type Winver, enter.

    Are there any failed updates.

Start > Setting > Update and Security > View Update History

    Edit: Most current is 17134.345

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

I just woke up and I checked for updates again and a windows defender definition update came through and now the message is gone. I am on the latest version and I don't see any failed updates so I guess it was just a glitch?

There's a known 'glitch' in 1803 that makes such messages persist long after the restart. They will get cleared the next time windows checks for updates. The usual one to show this behaviour is the red '*some settings are managed by your organization..' seen in windows update when an update is installed but pending a restart (another glitch, it just means Active Hours are set).

This glitch first appeared in 1803 and appears to have been fixed in 1809.
