    Activation

Upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10. Got a bad install.Reinstall Windows 7 (complete) .Got no upgrade icon on task bar.
Reinstalled windows 10 from ISO Disk. Install will not activate. Shows Lic key. Will it take time for the server to do the activation ?

Not having a update icon in the task bar Windows 7 mean that the first upgrade was installed ?

    Hi there

didn't you get a prompt for W10 during the re-install process. Refuse that (say later) . Install W7 and activate . Now go to windows Update in control panel and you should see Windows 10 offered as an update.

When re-installing W7 WIPE all the partitions off the old W7 partition / HDD.

    Cheers

Did you do an upgrade using the ISO?

I did an upgrade with the ISO and it took about 12 hours for mine to activate
