How to upgrade to latest build on insider preview

Am currently using Windows 10 Insider Preview. Build 10074 shows on right side of screen. Have updated Windows through settings. Am I using the latest build?

How do I upgrade to latest build on insider preview? I went through windows update and it states the updates are up to date; however, still seeing Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview evaluation copy build 10074.

Strange. Are you still on the insider program? (Check on Update\Advanced).

    Preview Builds

When clicking on settings, advanced - see "preview builds are on." Have download set to "fast." Automatic downloads.

I had two laptops stuck on 10162. I had a desktop that did upgrade to 10240, so I made a DVD from the .esd file on that desktop.

Then I put the DVD into each laptop and ran an upgrade by running Setup.exe from the DVD drive on each laptop. I didn't boot from the DVD, just ran Setup.exe. Now each laptop (in about 1 hour) is upgraded to 10240, and still activated. I did this on 28 July.

If you can get a 10240 ISO and make a DVD or USB from it, you should be able to manually upgrade to 10240.

Or go to the link below and download the Microsoft Windows 10 upgrade tool for the version released 29 July. When you run the program it will ask if you want to upgrade your computer or download a copy of Windows 10 for use to make media (DVD or USB bootable drive).
