Build 10240 (RTM?) Control Panel is still there

Build 10240 up and running in Virtual Box. Control Panel is still available. I thought it was going away.

It'll eventually be phased out, but not yet. Even then, we may still be able to open it using other methods. :)

It seems likely that 10240 is close to RTM especially since
it has no PREVIEW watermark and is listed as Windows 10 Pro.

The idea of converting the CP to all WinRT touch controls seems like an odd idea.
Funny, can we expect the elimination of the explorer shell ?

Microsoft is being cagey about whether this is RTM or not. The fact is, they don't know. It might be the final version that ships out, or there might be a different version if they find a major problem that is a showstopper. Most non-showstoppers will probably just be delivered as updates.

I personally think this will be the final version, but we will have to wait to see.

That's crazy the build number is 10240 because I had a guess that it would be 10200 to stir up a conspiracy theory about a Lumia 1020 replacement... Drop the 2 and it's 1040.

It's been confirmed, there is a Lumia 1040 in existence!

And, if you re-arrange the numbers of "1040" from biggest to smallest and substract them... (4-1-0-0) it eqals 3. So...

    HALF-LIFE 3 CONFIRMED.

I think it's safe to say it's a RTM candidate.
