I've had that too for a long time, not only with the current build. Many seem to have this snafu. For me it seemed to start about the same time the fix came out for Caps Lock Light not working. Wish I could find a solution.

I had a Packard bell console tv once... huge piece of furniture. Record player / 8 track player / Radio / TV.

    My laptop is a 2012 model Lenovo G570 - 4334 Intel Southbridge Model HM65, Series 6 chipset. i7
Bios MBR boot. Its had its hard drive replaced with a Samsung SSD. But same deal on a spinner, no real shutdown for the shutdown mode, not even in hibernate, and same not shutting down in sleep mode. It wont wake in hibernate or sleep because it never fully reaches the modes.
It will pause 15 seconds then shutdown/restart on typical Restart mode.

my pc strangely, accepts restarts, but not shutdowns...

p.s. safe mode dosent help, pc just freeze while shutting down and but this time, screen won't go off.

System Availability Requests:Analysis Success Analysis was successful. No energy efficiency problems were found. No information was returned. CPU Utilization:Processor utilization is low The average processor utilization during the trace was very low. The system will consume less power when the average processor utilization is very low.

Battery:Analysis Success Analysis was successful. No energy efficiency problems were found. No information was returned. Platform Power Management Capabilities:Supported Sleep States Sleep states allow the computer to enter low-power modes after a period of inactivity. The S3 sleep state is the default sleep state for Windows platforms. The S3 sleep state consumes only enough power to preserve memory contents and allow the computer to resume working quickly. Very few platforms support the S1 or S2 Sleep states.
