I upgraded to 10158 Home then to 10158 Pro and had no issues so far.
Absolutely no stability issues for me on 10158, so far. I'm running on a mild O/C of 4.6GHz (uncore: 4.4GHz) due to summertime.
well said!
nevertheless, I think there is a high enough percentage of people having problems with the upgrade to warrant concern.
I wonder if microsoft will have to deal with a couple million very unhappy campers in august, when they take advantage of their free upgrade and find that their well-behaved machine has turned into a Frankenstein.
It is possible MS does not care about their customers I have been with mac osx beta, one build improves the previous one, that how to keep customers happy, unfortunately MS does not, well when the worst come to worst just hang on with windows 8.1. This just my opinion, someone will get upset about this write up so be it.
I thought I would give it another try to upgrade, now that 10159 became an official build.
the gui of the installation process is vastly improved. it tells you what stage you are in, it tells you to relax, etc.
the first stage, after the initial work, is copying data.
after I got to the end of the third and final stage, and was expecting to be booted into windows 10, the screen said I am being rolled back to my former installation.
why?
because there was an error in copying data (i.e. the first stage).
well, better late than never.
I am glad it didn't take too long to be rolled back down the stairs.
