I was practically told to drop out of it. I have many things I can fall back to like a clone of Windows 7. Windows XX is not a one size fits all service especially if you are approaching 70. I have beta tested for the last 14 years, I ran nightly build of Firefox for 10 years. Sorry but it gets quite old after awhile.
yeah, i was only making a joke about the statement the guy posted earlier about not being stupid. lol. it wasn't directed at you. everyone should do what they feel like doing, and i can understand your point. however, i do wonder what you mean about being told to drop out?

have to say, though, i am extremely surprised to see some of the names in those other categories of the poll. wow!

And who told you to drop out!? It's your decision, after all.

I have you by seven years and I get along quite well with my mouse and keyboard . . . I don't have anything "touch" to try it on, though. There are no problems with my mouse and keyboard; as well, when on my laptops, Windows 10 has seen fit to deactivate my touchpad so I no longer have the screwball mouse actions.

I'm staying and ain't nobody gonna tell me whether I should or should not stay in the program.

I agree that testing does get old after a while and many might just want to use the OS for doing daily tasks rather than spend time testing it. For me I might stay in for a while more but eventually I'll drop out.

All was OK until I used Dick Cleanup to remove Windows.old. After that I tried to get back into the Insiders group and I kept getting these warning popups warning me about how dangerous it was , They then wanted me to agree to something and then reboot. I said never mind and closed it out.

I have one simple reason to stay as Insider and in the fast ring: I like the feeling I am involved. I know my feedback or a bug I report might not change anything. I also know that bugs I have reported have been fixed when other users have reported them, too.

It's like voting. In my opinion you basically cannot complain about inability of your government if you don't vote, "my one vote does not count" is one of the most invalid assumptions about democracy. I want to think my vote counts, my feedback counts and me volunteering to install and use new builds as soon as MS thinks they can be sent to fast ring counts.

That is good for you but I am about 70 % disabled. My neck has lost all of it's discs. I have a bad shoulder that is bone on bone. I have had two heart attacks. On top of that I have a bad knee and have had 6 surgeries on my feet. It is all I can do to get out of bed. You say you have me beat by 7 years, Good. I will be lucky to live t long.

OMGoodness, Gary! I am so disgustingly healthy I'm ashamed to admit it when I hear of someone else's problems.

I was so surprised when I put the Insider Hub back on this machine and found that some of the bugs I've found have been up voted 19 times. I'm pretty sure that's a drop in the bucket for more active testers, but it sure made me feel good anyway! :) Feeling like SuperWoman!

That is OK but maybe you should not be so quick to judge. All people are not cut from the same mold. I have been in technology since 1981 and doing all of this is getting too much like work.

I wasn't judging you, Gary. Far from it! I was just trying to point out that age isn't everything. Sorry.
