    Partially same for me on 2 physical computers, both 64-bit. BUT, it happens only when clicking File immediately after regedit opens. Clicking Computer first or any of several/random choices below that didn't cause the problem. Going back to File at that point didn't cause the problem but did give the drop-down menu of choices. Same for View. Leaving/closing regedit with the list expanded and an entry highlighted didn't seem to be a problem when next opened.

    Why does that not surprise me. Another random "depends on what ya got" error. Thanks Berton and Superfly!

    Guess I missed something in the question, thought the Insider Preview version is Pro only, at least both of mine [14946] are. My RTM/Released versions of Home and Pro are 14393.321 [latest] and don't have the issue. It is confusing when the exact version of Win10 are being asked/talked about is not mentioned, needs the Version number followed by the Build number with extension, e.g. Windows 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.321 with the .321 being the latest update. The Insider Preview builds will be a higher number.

    @Berton

    I have edited the Title and the Post to reflect the exact build information. I thought posting in the Windows Insider thread and referencing 14946 would be sufficient to identify RTM/AU from Insider. I have included a WINVER screenshot to avoid any further confusion. I believe all Insider builds have an extension of .1000, but could be wrong.

    There are several postings to the Feedback to MS concerning this (Feedback Hub/Feedback).

    It was the reference to Home x86 earlier that prompted my response since the Insider Preview doesn't have the Home version that the RTM does, thought I'd clicked Reply with Quote and didn't catch it. And the fact that many folks don't completely fill in their System Specs, just saying Windows 10 doesn't 'cut the mustard' anymore.
