Hi,
No problems with regedit on IP here. Thank god for that.
Cheers,
Seems to be fixed in one of my 14951 but not the other which has the problem IF the entries list is fully collapsed, having one expanded works fine.
Hi,
Not so here and not on any of the previous IP builds either.Odd, last 2 builds it crashes as soon as I click File=
Have checked the file version of regedit.exe ? It resides in the Windows main directory. The version should be the same as your current IP build.
Also a look in Event Viewer may gives some clues ( I hope...) .
Cheers,

Hi,
LOL.Typical MS "I've fallen down and I can't get up!".
Event Viewer is as cryptic as can be. Can't find anything useful on event ID 1634 either.....
I'd suggest a clean install if you feel up to it. Seems the error was carried over from some previous build on your system.
Cheers,
Hi,
Assuming you have a system with a working copy of regedit you could try to copy it to the IP system.
cmd prompt admin:
takeown /f “C:\Windows\regedit.exe”
icacls “C:\Windows\regedit.exe” /grant “%username%”:F
ren regedit.exe > regeditIP.exe
------------------------------------------------------------------
Replace "username" with the logged on username
copy the fresh regedit.exe file to %windir%
run regedit.exe
Nothing lost should it not work.:)
Cheers,
