Help me if I got this wrong. Trying to select all apps. Select Windows button, lower left then select the "menu", upper left, then return to all apps button lower left. ?

#2. Have Office 2007 installed as a test, cannot pin any office items to start menu.
Select the Windows button and then select All Apps. Don't select the menu in between.

After you get to All Apps, click on Microsoft Office (to show the individual programs) and then right click on one of the programs; you should see "pin to Start" as one of the options. Click on that and it should show up.

It's possible that 10122 will show the individual programs in Office in the alpha listing of All Apps. If this happens, do the same as you did above.

If you'd like to do everything in (almost) one fell swoop, Pick an individual Office program, right click on it and select "Open File Location. There, you'll see all the individual programs; just right click on each one and select "Pin to Start". Although it still has to be done individually, it's much faster this way. :)

I use this last "option" to pin stuff to my Quick Launch Bar.

This is what happens when I select the window icon. Notice that there is no "all apps" selection there. After back up to the menu, then all apps appears at the bottom. I do select each individual program in MO and pin it to start, it just never show up on the screen. Maybe my stuff is weird I forgot to mention, the MO will pin to task bar, just not the start screen.

Since I use Quick Launch, rather than Start, I tried pinning Access (Office 365) to Start and it's all blurry. No improvement there, for sure!

I don't know why Office 2007 should pin any differently than other Office suites, so I don't think that would be it; after all, we're working with icons here. It might be worth a try to uninstall, then reinstall Office 2007 just to see. But first . . .

My next thought is that it could be that things are being covered up by the Search bar and by using the menu, it "uncovers" what you need. It may be worth a try to right click the taskbar, hover over Search and then click on Disable to see if you can then see the other stuff that should be there. You can always re-enable Search if you want it back.

Let us know if any of this helps.

Thanks for your effort. You may have noticed that I have dual monitors, even though the search icon does not show on one monitor, it shows on the other. I have disabled it, moved the task bar all 4 ways, no luck. I could not get any response when hovering over the search bar. Had to go to taskbar/properties/toolbars and at the bottom are the enable/show search box/icon. I gather by your answer that all apps is visible once you select the Windows key?

One more oddity, I chose to run calendar, and put it on the task bar . It is there in spite of no icon for it. It is black and blends with the background, double click it and calendar runs.

I think you may have misunderstood what I said about disabling the Search bar. Or maybe I've misunderstood what you said. :) Just in case you misunderstood:

Right click Taskbar>hover over Search>a flyout menu (with Disabled, Show Search Icon, Show Search Box) will appear>Click on Disabled to get it out of the way.

BTW, are you using 10122 update or clean install?

Yeah icons and the menu are a bit wonky in 10122 - give MS a little time, this is the fast ring release of 10122, so either the slow ring release of 10122 or the next fast drop might have these things ironed out (someone reported that the blurry icons are back to being crisp and clear, albeit tiny, in the leaked 10.125 release.)

The black calendar icon - that happens almost every time they change the icons, especially the mono light / dark ones.
You might be able to change the icon for the shortcut until MS fixes it.

I thought the off monitor icon was brilliant - You may have noticed that I have dual monitors, even though the search icon does not show on one monitor, it shows on the other. Tis might explain many other anomalies - the stuff is just off on another monitor.

Pinning to Start is definitely broken in 10122 - not only that, but the icon size an position changes (desktop apps only?)

    So Far

I've just finished an upgrade from b10074 to b10122.

Does the "Eject" option (in the File Explorer Context menu) work correctly for everyone else?
It doesn't seem to work in my W10TP b10122.
I had to use the Sys Tray icon to eject my USB stick.

Disk Cleanup seemed to run faster and it correctly reported the amount of space I would recover.

You lost me Wynona, i unlocked the taskbar, but locked or not i cannot move anything. Yes, i want the whole screen filled when hitting left under, together with, as said everything without hitting anything again. Then only the apps click is eventually needed. Makes more sence, right?

    Anyway cannot alter this myself.
