Touch and Go people! A new beginning is here for RS2 since RS1 has now passed us by! Each new Insider build note being a Developer Preview type build will display the particular build number which is also the reference number needed in order to submit feedback to MS about things!
("Well gee I forgot if it was the 332 or 339 or was it the 443...." ut oh didn't know the build number? got lost when trying to... )

The word "please" is a nice word to use.

Agreed! Since folks here are volunteering their time for free there will be differences just as when one buys 2 computers that are supposedly identical but one becomes different from the other after 'adjustments' are made, same for results obtained by those trying to help.

Gee all this time I thought your inquiry and appreciation was supposed to be more like... #($@&@"can you explain that differently!"#($#&@#"about time!" Common courtesy will usually get you a bit further however. And getting back on topic ...

Once I saw the watermark was gone and had noticed the "...rs1" in hash/checksum info at MS I knew I was in the Redstone 1 preliminary builds. The 14901 and all other builds you will now be seeing will be all those that proceed the Redstone 2 unless the next update falls under a different name as MS likes to make name changes frequently.

Excerpt from MS announcement dated 7/07/16:

In build news: today we are releasing Build 14383 for both PC and Mobile to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. On PC, you will notice a few things are different with this build. For example, the desktop watermark is now gone. This is because we’re beginning to check in final code in preparation for releasing the Windows 10 Anniversary Update to customers on August 2nd. But we’re not finished yet and will have more builds to release to Windows Insiders between now and then. Remember you guys play a big role in helping us decide which are the final *final* bits that we ship globally.

This why the watermark disappeared. Since the August 2nd release is out and the development cycle has started anew, the watermark has returned.

    Plain and simply.
