Yes, I had this issue too after I made the video. The solution to that is to install the modded driver again after Windows Update installs the bad drivers. If you let windows update do what it wants to do, then install the modded drivers, everything works and it doesn't try again. See this post I just made for more info :)
Glad this helped you.
I'll wager 7 will have more users than Ten does this time next year. A few users of 7 will go as they have to have the latest, some of the 8.1 users will go to Ten. Anyone with a tablet should. If you are a hard core desktop user stay on 7 is my recommendation. Now if we get Control Panel back with 1024 color icons, full blown Aero (I have good graphics cards in my PC's let me use them) get rid of BING and all the other crap by being able to uninstall what I don't want then I might too even though they have killed Media Center. OK off to Microsoft forums to bleat about that.
Right I seem to be making progress now.
Windows still insists on installing drivers but to be fair these particular ones haven't crashed yet. Firefox still crashes on the user account I set up initially, but on a second account it seems to be working better.
I did exactly the same when I first installed 10074 though, and that time FF crashed for both accounts (one local, one FS). I'm wondering if the difference is that something was wrong when the initial user was created, but some crucial updates was installed before I added the second account, especially as many parts of the Settings app seemed to crash with the original user. First time round I created a bunch of accounts early on.
So maybe next time I'll setup with a sacrificial user account that can get updates and then I'll set up the accounts I actually want and kill off the initial one.
I've also got Office 2016 Preview going and it seems on a brief look to work OK.
Hi guys; anybody knows what's going on with the update system ! i did this post to reply for the workaround issue with drivers showing at the updates and nothing updates?
it seems no updates are being installed cause of this; if i click to install pc wont work,it freezes,i uninstall these drivers but they show at the updates,and nothing else will show on the update see pic;

Also after i do this workaround settings;
Go to run and type gpedit.msc
click on Computer Configuration
click on Administrative templates
click on System
click on Device Installation
click on Device Installation Restrictions
Enabled Prevent Installation of Devices not described by other policy settings
Uninstalled driver ticked delete driver.
Also go to Uninstall program to remove Synaptic software.
Reboot
Disable or Unconfigure Device Installation Restrictions
And install Synaptics driver ver 16.2
i get this;see pic;

Me too Meebers. :) It said I had corrupted files on a clean install that I've only installed Office 365 on and that is only a few days old. O K
Like you, the log(s) mean next to nothing to me; guess I'll just have to trust it, although I'm not so sure it knows what it's talking about. :)
