    Hi there

Spartan / Edge is totally useless for me until it starts allowing localhost / 127.0.0.1 type IP addresses - I have some servers (multimedia) that use web control interfaces. I can't be bothered to use different browsers for different applications. I'm sticking to IE11 until this new browser works TOTALLY.

I know it's some security thing but like firewalls there should be a mechanism / exception rules to specifically allow these types of IP addresses.

    Cheers

It behaves strangely with local files too.

I tried to start a project I was working on, by launching the HTML file from my desktop.
Spartan promptly crashed and put up a message saying something about the network speed being too slow.
I tried again and it worked with no complaints.

I noticed it didn't block the JavaScript files by default (like IE11 does).

    EDGE CRASHING
Cliff, when I ran the video, I got a popup that said, "You're missing the video converter tool." To the right there was a link to a "free" VCT. I saw and heard the video, but it was a bit blurry.

I am having trouble with 10074 in that not all videos will play properly; for the most part, I can hear the audio but the video screen is black.

    1. Is this video converter safe?
    2. Do you think it would fix my problem?

    Thanks in advance . . .

It's completely useless to me too, Jimbo. It won't even open URLs when I type them in. Mostly it says it is having trouble opening that site.

It plays normal for me(it uses HTML5) and it's from youtube. I have no problems with IE and Chrome. What browser are you using? What are your filtering settings(in IE the little forbidden symbol next to refresh in the address bar). I wouldn't download that video converter.

I'm using Firefox, but have had to resort to IE and Chrome at times if I really, really want to see a particular video. However, when I'm using IE or Chrome, there will be videos I can't see. Sometimes I will get a green screen with the ad, but then it works; sometimes the ad will work, but the video won't.

Filtering settings? Never had to use those before. And I've never seen a little "forbidden symbol" in anything. I generally use my browsers with their "factory" settings. :)

That can happen when you write a post and someone else post's during the time you hit post reply and don't refresh or go out and come back. I think it's because 10 forums has a live post update (or whatever it's called) still turned on from that Microsoft broadcast Build 2015 last week.
