If you upgraded a previous build though Windows Update, you might try installing fresh from the ISO.
See: Windows 10 - Clean Install - Windows 10 Forums

    Hi Slartybart
most of my updates have been by windows update just to save me time putting all the programs back on .
I'll download the iso and give it a try.
    thanks

I know you've done a clean install, but...

To help ruling out hardware issue, try this. Go to Device Manager and Rollback the driver, reboot and see if it fixes. If so, the MS WDDM driver is probably roached. In that case, after rolling back, try WU again to see if you're getting a bad download of the driver. If problem still there, totally uninstall the device AND driver. That will clear it from Component Store. Reboot and Windows will reinstall the device and driver from their server. If all this fails, you just might have a quirky chip set.

Does this occur if you clean install 7 or 8.1?

When was the last time you TOTALLY powered off your machine? May need to bleed the circuits. Power off, disconnect cord from power, press and release power button several times. Plug back in and power up. This will discharge all capacitors in system and ensure no "dangling bytes". Sounds nuts, but it's true.

I hate this build :) 10074. The start menu is very all over the place (Loved the look of the new one on the recent 101xx build video). And I am having to almost double click (or click very hard) task bar items to get anything to launch. The previous build didn't have that issue. Keen for the next build...!

I've noticed this too. Or I will have to right click something on the taskbar and choose the shortcut.

Probably lost in translation. I've had this problem when I was learning Germen and used American idioms.

Some screen shots can help clear up any translation issues.. at least we can see what the poster is referring to and as the saying goes.. a picture is worth a thousand words. :)

I'm not surprised over that.. Spartan/Edge is so new I would expect some bugs for a while.

Glad to hear it. Edge (Spartan) will take some time. Testing it means breaking it ... and that is all too easy in these bleeding Edge days
