Just about to dump the 10074 build (64-bit) on top of my 8.1 setup just to see what happens.

Depending on how it looks and works, it may remain or it may be relegated (like 10061) to a VM only. Yes, there is a backup in case of problems or issues. Several, actually.

I've absolutely no intention of doing a clean install until the RTM (or whatever they've decided to call it these days) or the final release. That's two days of my life I don't feel like wasting just yet.

Anyway, here goes... I'll get back to you.

Something I just found(out), when you untick both the store and display's them click clear(I always hated them as I use search when I know what's on my new OS) it restarts explorer.

Another thing in 74 is the new clock/calendar on the taskbar is turned on by default now. It would be better if it was integrated with the Calendar app and Email app like Evolution is in Ubuntu, where clicking a date opens the app to that date in the calendar to read/create an appointment. Microsoft is now one step closer to this as the new Calendar and Email are now basically one app with 2 ways to open it. If you look at the bottom there is a toggle, it just needs to be connected with the taskbar clock.
For those who don't know it this is Evolution(just an example from site):Attachment 18311

Compared to the new apps:Attachment 18313

Thank for that... but that isn't where I'm trying to get. Have a look at my post, it was an earlier post of Cliff S where I am trying to find that dialog (the one about Driver updates).

Currently my (clean-installed from ISO yesterday) 10074 is BSODing with DPC Watchdog Violation, so it's unusable.

I'm suspecting it's auto-installed a driver that's fatal to it. Even the option in Setup to not update drivers seems to have disappeared now in 10074.

The problem I found with this build is that a few things have been moved around and you/I have to hunt to find things .. again.
