    Display clearer in 14385

Is it just me, or does the display seem a lot crisper and clearer in build 14385? It's like the text just "pops"! I'm very happy with the way it is looking on my new laptop compared to the previous 2 builds. But maybe it is just me. I've got Intel HD 4600 graphics on the i7-4702HQ APU.

@NavyLCDR, what is your driver version? I have same, HD 4600, version 4474. Have been having a problem since Sat. a.m. (was on 14383 at the time, now 14385). WU started trying to repetitively update Intel HD 4600. Would log Update History as installed, but log warning (not error) in Reliability History of failure. WU reset no help. Even tried clean install. Only way to stop it was to hide Intel driver updates with the MS tool. I can't tell what version it's trying to install, but I assume it's 4474. Error search tracks to this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/952032

MS says to hide it and ignore if it's a driver.....but that's not very warm and fuzzy. Bugs me cause it's never done this before. All else seems fine. Any thoughts? TC

Mine is a clean install o fWindows 10 build 14383 updated to 14385. It's on an Asus X750JA laptop. Every driver on mine is supplied by Windows 10 (even Asus Smart Gesture for the touchpad comes from Windows update now) except for the Intel SATA AHCI Controller-that came from Intel Rapid Storage Technology.

    My driver version is:

    Intel website:
    Drivers & Software

Shows 4463 as the latest version and 4256 installed by Microsoft looks like the first version that was released for Windows 10. Interesting. Where did you get 4474 from?

I just downloaded 4463 from Intel's website and attempted to install it. Got an error message that said "not validated for this computer" and setup would not continue.

When I clean installed 14383 to a bare unallocated partition, that's what MS put on. Over and over and over.....ad nauseum!

I wonder if it has anything to do with the model of computer it is installed on since I can't manually install the latest driver from Intel.

I really don't know, it's baffling. I took it all the way down to using just the dirt-dumb MS generic driver (had the router turned off), ran for a while, and as soon as I turned the router back on and rebooted, back came 4474! Can't wait to see what happens to my current build on 8/02! It's on 4463. Dual boot, same box.

@NavyLCDR, I think I found the reason for the 4474. It's a WHQL certified Beta. Released on 6/29. Apparently MS decided to certify and test a beta driver on a beta OS. This is kinda rare, and in the past MS did not push it to everyone, just random samples. May explain why I got it and others didn't. Full explanation is here. Error

    Hi,

I've been running that same version since 14379 with 0 problems.

Can't say I notice any difference with previous versions.

    Cheers,
