    Using version 14383 in anger

I decided I would really test build 14383 in anger by upgrading my normal 10586 install with lots of installed programs (making a Macrium Reflect image backup first of course). I have been testing insiders in a dual boot configuration to date, but I wanted to see how smooth the REAL upgrade would be.

I created an iso earlier today using Kari's great tool, double clicked on it and run setup.exe. The upgrade was very smooth, and most of my settings were unchanged, and no programs deleted.

All my programs opened without any problems, and pc digital licence is linked to MS account, and I can see the PC in my online MS account. Interestingly, the earlier 14379 version which was referenced with a different name but on same pc (was dual booting Insider with my main 10586 install) has been removed and replaced with device showing as same install.

It seems it links the digital licence on same pc to the latest installation.

I did not want to get bombarded with build upgrades over next few days, so I decided to leave the Insider Program but forgot you cannot leave without either reinstalling 10586, or waiting until official redstone is released, but can delay any upgrades for a week, but even so I decided to move to Slow Ring for the next few weeks.

So far, I have not experienced any hitches, and am quite pleased with my upgrade. So far, so good....

Thanks for the info on the big jump from current branch to RS1.
I have my insider build in a VM and all upgrades were smooth, but it's nice to know that the big jump will go well to.
Of course, image image image, beforehand:)
