Now only says "Windows" the 10 has been dropped.

I'm doing a clean install of en_windows_10_multiple_editions_insider_preview_14295_x64_dvd_8475164, downloaded via MSDN. I just noticed the setup screen just shows "Windows" with no 10 after it. It was the screen where it prompts for language keyboard layout etc. It wasn't always like that was it? If this has already been mentioned my apologies. I haven't browsed this section of the forum very much lately. A sign of things to come maybe? It still listed 10 in the description on the Home Pro selection screen though.

As supposedly 10 is the final number for the Windows O/S....the only reason for the number is to differentiate it from W7, W8 and W8.1,
Thereby warning operators of those systems that their O/S is outdated and has been super ceded by W10.

Yes, I know that. What's your point, in relation to what I posted?

Interesting...seems MS are sticking to their plan then, this iteration of Windows being the last in terms of legacy naming conventions... somehow I recall Myerson or someone mentioning going forward there will only be one Windows back in the day.

Gonna download the latest Insider - seems to be RC (no watermark etc) to see how licensing has changed, if any.

I'm guessing , you mean, since there won't be a next version with a new number (11) they will drop the number entirely? I've been thinking it will happen. It will just be Windows.

My install is just now upgrading to the latest build. After switching to fast Ring. I got the latest there was on MSDN. I just didn't fell like hunting out a latter build someplace else at the time.

I know I'm late to the party, I haven't run an insider build for a while now so I'm out of the loop. Now that I'm a Windows Insider MVP I figured I better get back on board and see what's new.

It upgraded/updated to build 14366.0. The system screen and About Windows still show the big blue Windows 10.

What makes you think my post was specifically addressed to you, I was only stating facts, if you had been reading all the statements coming out of Redmond with each new release, you too would have been in the know, my post was to bring up to date all those not in the know.
