His computer probably has a digital entitlement for Home version (which is why it activated) and he is wanting to activate Pro insider version on it for free without having had a previous paid version of Pro (and therefore a digital entitlement) - which Microsoft is no longer doing.
    You're probably right.

I thought it might be an old Preview key, but I didn't recognize it and was too lazy to look for it.

You are well educated and a very good guesser

The key I used for 14342 was the exact one ending in TXYCV mentioned above.

The URL was not the one but the keys listed ARE the same information.

14352 acts exactly the same way.

The PC I used before for Win 10 Insider is a little ATOM machine I have here.
This one is an I5 processer.

Is there a way to get data from the ATOM go get the I5 to activate?

Or could I just buy a Win 7 or 8 key from the internet?

Thank you for explaining this to me.

Nope, you can't copy anythng from one machine to another in order to subvert Windows activation.

Why not just buy Win10? That will save you time and effort.
There was a time last year when buying Win7 or Win8 was a cost savings, but then they figured it out and jacked up the price to match Win10 (because of the free upgrade).

To answer your question - yes, you can buy a Windows license on the Internet. Best to buy it from a reputable vendor.

Two vendors I trust. Win10 Pro (EOM):
    $139 NewEgg
    $129 B&H Photo

I purchased a KEY online and that fixed the problem.
