I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but if you go to Settings > System > Apps & features > By Size there are uninstall options for some apps. Some are greyed out but others aren't. I haven't found any other way to uninstall Apps. Haven't used Windows 10 all that much though so still learning as I go. You may need some patience though, seems to take a long time calculating the sizes. No apps are listed until it does.
When I run>shell:appsfolder (thanks, Edwin, I think), I get a smorgasboard of stuff that includes apps that I've looked at but decided not to install, such as [app (install)]. I would like to get rid of that because I will never install the thing (I didn't like what I saw). But when I click on Uninstall, it won't.

Of course, there's no option to delete the thing from my system . . .

@Edwin, I see the Move option now, it's greyed out for all the Apps where Uninstall was greyed out. I know for a fact the Weather App can be uninstalled in 8.1, not in 10 though? I really hope that is just a temporary testing thing.

I just did the shell:appsfolder thing and noticed the same thing. I can right click and see an uninstall option, but clicking it does nothing.

Slightly off topic Rant > One thing that really irks me about the Store and Apps is the My Apps section. If you try an App just once and don't like it and uninstall it, its forever listed in the My Apps section with no way to remove it. Mine is cluttered with apps I never ever used and can't remove from that section. When I got my laptop and logged in for the first time with my Live ID all the factory installed Apps were immediately added to My Apps in the Store. Even ones I never ever used and uninstalled. There needs to be a delete option in the Store My Apps section.

Kerry you're not the only one. Check out here at Microsoft Community. And here at← Windows Feature Suggestions -Remove app from "My apps" It already has 173 votes every one counts, we just need more there.

I would suggest that those apps belong to you because you purchased them from Windows Store in Win8.1
You own them and can see them any time you are in your Microsoft Account.
How to get into a Microsoft account to give them back.............. dunno

But, but, but, Roger, that's what I wanted to know!

Actually, I never installed most of them.

The Store bought Apps are un installable. Ones you've installed manually in the past. It's the default Windows Apps that are bundled with 10 that are locked in. In 8.1 you can even uninstall "some" of those. Doesn't seem to be the case with Windows 10.

Apparently, for the time being, the only thing you can do is switch to a local account or, create a new MS Account.

    Git rid of them?

I download a lot of FREE ebooks from Amazon, if an interesting title pops up. Many I just open and I'm finished with it.
To get it out of my account I have to go to Amazon and manage my account....... it can be deleted there.
I wonder if maybe you could get into your MS account to remove apps. Anybody know somebody at MS that knows something
