do I get cumulative & security updates

    Hello All!

I'm new to the Insider Program and am currently running build 10565 on one laptop and 10240 RTM on another. Quick question about getting updates on Insider builds - do I get cumulative & security updates that are available for the RTM version on my insider build? Just did some updates to my RTM but noticed that some of the newest updates like KB3097617 don't show on my 10565 build.

I manually downloaded the latest updates from Microsoft Catalog but when I tried to install them it said they are not applicable. Is it because insider builds already come with these security updates built in?

Some of those updates are already included in the 10565 build so they are not offered.

Thanks for the reply! :) I did receive a small update yesterday (KB3103470) which looks to be just an update to Notepad.
