565 up and running fine so far. A lot of my problems I was having have disappeared so far. Having a problem with pressing links within pages. Notice the address on this page. It is the address of the link, but it always takes me to the Edge home page.

    Attachment 42635

Edge has one of those first-time-use-it things where it opens up to it's home page on a separate tab upon first time use. I think that's messing me up since it didn't do that first time I opened after upgrade to 565. Anyone having this problem or know how to resolve it? Probably a file or Registry entry I need to nuke?
HG, after upgrading, you have to set it up again in settings.

Select custom , hit the plus and add your page of choice.

Haven't yet upgraded to it though. Is it worth it?

after "upgrading" today, my mapped network drives no longer show up in file explorer..

every "upgrade" seems to break something else...I can see why so many folks dislike windows 10..

That's not it, Dude. That's the new tab settings when a tab is opened. Edge will open to that if no Home page is not set also. Remember the first time you opened Edge and it took you to a demo page it in a separate tab explaining read mode, Web note mode, etc? A tutorial on it. It did that upon first use and not on any subsequent opening. It'll do that on every new install only once. I hope I'm explaining that correctly.

The page I posted is the Edge home page. Did you notice the address on it? It was a link within a forum page that I pushed. The address is correct, but it opens to the Edge home page every time. If I right click on a posted link, choose copy link on the context menu, paste it in Edges address bar, and press Enter it takes me to the correct page of the link. As it is now it's "auto-going" to the Edge home page no matter what link I push.

Okay, I understand now, and do remember that. I will try and recreate it and check.

Ok good. When I upgraded this time it did not do the "one-time" tab opening. Therefore I think it's like stuck there, for a lack of better words. In other words it's calling it to perform that all the time.

If I remember right, it eventually went away after a few reboots. I did leave edge running without setting a home page at first on previous builds. It took a few reboots/days to stop the annoying behavior. This weekend I will build another vm and test it.

Ok, Dude. Thanks. Perhaps someone else will com along. I'm thinking it's a Registry entry that needs to be changed.

I'll start another thread in Browsers and Email also.

This build is working pretty great as an upgrade on my PC. On my tablet, however, when I try to upgrade it will get to around 97% done, then go into a bluescreen loop, then roll back to the RTM version. May try clean installing on it tomorrow.
