I just went through this with another member.

I don't know if it would work, but if you're on 10240RTM, you could try an in-place upgrade using the MS ISO, mount it and run from within the W10 OS, and select to keep files and apps. I would make sure I have an image to restore before I tried this though.

    Hi there
not usually advisable to use the insider builds as a main machine -- if it goes wrong (and it could easily) then you are stuck. The insider builds really should only be used for testing purposes - not as a FREE extra OS you can load up on to every computer in your network.

Before making any changes though ALWAYS take backups -- how many times has this been said on these Forums --there are zillions of decent products that enable you to make backups -- the whole process shouldn't take more than 30 mins - even for a large windows installation. Also keep the OS and User data separate - on different HDD's or partitions.

    Cheers

I have taken this advice seriously. That is the reason I have deferred all updates to my system. I use WSUS to install security patches. I have disabled telemeter as well. Build 10532 seems stable enough except for most "Univerasal Apps - including the store. Edge works fine.
