Roll back to build 10240 from 10532 without windows.old

I would like to go back to 10240 RTM from 10532 but I accidentally deleted windows.old. I would like to know if there is a way to go back to 10240 while keeping my existing data? Thanks in advance.

Download the 10240 ISO (make sure it is the exact same version you have now). Mount it, run setup.exe in the new drive letter that appears. See if it will let you do an "upgrade" over your existing build.

Oh, and I would make a system image backup first, if it was me.

I'm just about to restore my computer because it needs it for other reasons. It would still be nice if we could figure this out for future reference.

Well that blows. That would be the only way I would know.
